Examinations

Students have to submit their Examination Application form along with the required fees, using the examination form given in the prospectus. All the relevant fees should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Indian Bureau of Distance Learning”, payable at Madurai along with examination form. Students can collect the Hall ticket from the Study center 3 days prior to the commencement of Examinations producing their Identity Card.

After the publication of results, the Marks Statement will be sent to the Study centers. Students are permitted to apply for Re-Valuation of answer scripts for all the courses for which they appeared. The filled in application along with necessary fees through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Indian Bureau of Distance Learning” payable at Madurai should be submitted to the BIDL, 1/A Vallabhai Road, Chokkikulam, Madurai - 625002 within 15 days from the date of declaration of results.

Re-valuation : Rs. 400/- per paper (USD 15 for foreign students)

Examination Centre

Generally, examination centre will be located in the same town as that of Study Center. However the student can appear in the examination in any of the identified exam centers. The student should therefore take care while filling the Examination application form. The Student should take both the Hall ticket and Identity Card to the examination and produced the same, if required.

Evaluation

The evaluation system of the programme is based on two components:

Internal Assessment (25 %)

The Breakup will be as follows

Attendance	05%

There will be graded assignment. The assignment is to be submitted to the Coordinator of the Study Center to which the student is assigned or attached with.
There will be Contact Programs held for every subject in the Study center. Students are required to attend all the contact sessions without fail. There will be approximately 50 hours of Contact Programs per semester. If there is any practical session then contact program will be about 100 hours per semester.
There will be Internal Exams conducted by the study centers and the students will be graded based on their performance in the internal test.
Approval Status

Shree Kapil Sibal honorable Minister for Human Resource Development, handed over the Distance Education Council (DEC), India, order of Asia e University for Indian Operation to Datuk. Seri. Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the Minister for Higher Education, Malaysia. Prof. V.N.Rajasekharan Pillai,Chairman,Distance Education Council, India handed over the MOU between UGC and AeU for Collaborative activities in Asia Cooperation Dialogue countries to Prof. Dato’Dr.Ansary Ahmed, Datuk Seri Mohammed Khaled Nordin launched the DEC approval academic programme of Asia e University in Chennai on 21st January 2010.
